Comments from her Californian neighbors and friends, "You're moving where!" flooded for an entire year before they officially moved. These insistent queries undeniably exhausted her, but it fueled her to write emails to her friends and family, telling them about the strange but amusing differences in the South. From one email, came a couple of emails, until it expanded to numerous emails, she lost count, and she decided to make a book out of it, also from the influence of her son Donald's Christmas wish. But it turned out to be more than just a book.

Valerie Katz lived all her life in California, but moved to Arkansas at the age of 67, thanks to Eric Estrada. Up to this day, her four children and six grandchildren are still astounded by her every move and antics.
